Laurent Kummer

I am a project management professional and have been involved in industrial, IT and quality project since the 1990s. I am one of the co-author of PM², the official project management methodology of the European Institutions that has been released to the public in 2016 as OpenPM². I have been leading several projects for the European Commission, including EU funded development projects across the world. I am also active in representing the Belgian project management community at the International Standard Organisation and I participate in the making of the ISO 21500 standard family on project management. Before this, I spent over a decade leading quality and IT infrastructure programmes for General Electric in France, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. During this time in various Industry sectors (Aviation, Energy, Oil & Gas), I got a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification and since has been a pioneer and active promoter of lean project management to which I authored my first book “The Lean Project Manager” in 2017.
